A visitor outside the window. The family got nervous when I opened it for the photo.

Here is my addition to the noise about the moon. You can not be known for taking a photo each day and not capture an event like this. Or so I was told by so many people. The amount of texts and messages last night asking me 1. how to shoot it, 2. where to shoot it and 3. when my photos will be up, were humbling. The moon is one of those secrets in the photography world, it seems like it would be hard to shoot, but (don’t tell anyone) it is not. As long as you have the right tools. With a long lens, a tripod, a timer/cable release and one quick change on the camera to spot meter you got yourself a decent moon shot. The thing is if you are missing one of those ingredients, it might be difficult. I am lucky to have all those things, so I am lucky to have these photos. And now I add them to the mass collection of other Super, Blood, Full, Red, Moon photos released in the last 24 hours. It may be an occurrence that only happens once every 24 years, but I am sure we documented it enough it could skip the next appearance and we would be fine.

Dan went to his first Tae Kwon Do competition today. He competed in breaking and assisted as a ref. Placed third in his event, by breaking 3 boards, elbow, punch and kick. Fun to watch, he had a great time.

Ran (walked briskly, maybe crawled at times) my second Rugged Maniac 5K today. I had great Rugged mates to help along the way. Beautiful weather, plenty of mud, water and fire, I am looking forward to next year already. I will be recruiting more friends and need to get the kids in on it too. Not easy to get this big guy over walls, but I survived. We were part of the Mudrats Team for WMRC First Class radio who has raised almost $20K for the Oliva Foundation.

I have never owned a brand new appliance. 1 apartment, 2 houses, numerous stoves, refrigerators, washers, dryers, all from here. The Sears outlet, minor scratches or dents, nothing harsh, all have been good to me. Hardest part is inspecting all of them to find the best one, but half price makes it worth it. My Friday nights, without a band to shoot, are glamorous, I know you are jealous.

Stopped at Liz’s Diamond Bar and Grille in Hopedale for dinner tonight. Shot 2 bands there last weekend, click for photos, Velvet Skies and Tollbooth Willie., decided to come back for food. Great food, perfect fries, karaoke on Thursdays, Poker, more music on the weekends, check them out.

From Simpsons Wiki: “Comic Book Guy is a very obese, socially incompetent, unshaven, cruel man who is perhaps best known for his sarcastic quips. He holds a master’s degree in folklore and mythology (he translated The Lord of the Rings into Klingon as part of his thesis). He exhibits geeky behavior to an extraordinary and deliberately unrealistic degree, and often also makes references to obscure subjects or internet culture. His catchphrase is the declaration, “Worst… (episode)… ever”. He states that he is a 45 year-old virgin who lives with his mother. His obesity has been stated on The Simpsons: Hit and Run, where he can be used driving you around in his car, when one of his replies is that he might as well pick you up, since he can’t fit into his office chair anymore. Comic Book Guy is extremely overweight to the point to were his clothes barely fit. He also at one point suffered from lumbago.”
Did you know his real name? You do know, you are welcome. #toywednesday shot today at Rubber Chicken Comics, go there it is awesome.

Ally’s session this month included no smiles. All business, very serious, no matter the pose. The new earrings are nice though. One of these times she is going to give me a bright smile. Until then we all can be in awe of those big eyes.

Rachel and Scott celebrated their wedding anniversary with a family session at sunset. After a full weekend of photo shoots this was a great way to end it. Perfect weather, we had the beach to ourselves, they even got in the water, I took their word that it was not that cold. Congratulations on 10yrs Rachel and Scott.
