The Blood Moon Eclipse
September 28, 2015
Here is my addition to the noise about the moon. You can not be known for taking a photo each day and not capture an event like this. Or so I was told by so many people. The amount of texts and messages last night asking me 1. how to shoot it, 2. where to shoot it and 3. when my photos will be up, were humbling. The moon is one of those secrets in the photography world, it seems like it would be hard to shoot, but (don’t tell anyone) it is not. As long as you have the right tools. With a long lens, a tripod, a timer/cable release and one quick change on the camera to spot meter you got yourself a decent moon shot. The thing is if you are missing one of those ingredients, it might be difficult. I am lucky to have all those things, so I am lucky to have these photos. And now I add them to the mass collection of other Super, Blood, Full, Red, Moon photos released in the last 24 hours. It may be an occurrence that only happens once every 24 years, but I am sure we documented it enough it could skip the next appearance and we would be fine.

Amazing shots
I was feeling bad because I totally forgot to go out to watch, if not try to get pictures, but seeing yours, I am full satisfied that I probably wouldn’t have seen it as well with the naked eye. You are the only one I have seen that actually caught the Blood Moon in all its glorious color!
