Continuing with the color theme, today I took in the ducks resting among the saturation. Though lucky for me they are facing away from the beauty, they are missing the view.

Fall, as for many, is my favorite season. Normally we make a trip north to hide in the color of it all, but thanks to COVID, and finally being busy after months of a dried-up business, we postponed getting away. We will escape soon, but it will far be past peak foliage. The only thing keeping me from missing my trip too much is the local color has been spectacular. I do believe anything good is a tad more enjoyable this year, but the colors really seem intense. I will miss them when they are gone, for the way things are going, I am afraid of the dreariness that will be the dark winter of 2020.

Took a walk in the rain today. Foliage looks better in the rain.

Yesterday’s color at Choate Park in Medway, snapped some photos in-between family and senior sessions. The leaves popped in the last few days, also found the heron again.

Drove out to Boylston for a wedding meeting this evening. October 2021 Wachusett Reservoir will be the backdrop to photos for Liz and Todd’s wedding. I look forward to being part of their day.

Another “Small Planet” shot. This one is over the Charles River in Medway. The sun is higher on the horizon than yesterday’s. Better light, better clouds. I have gotten a few questions on the details of how it is done. Using my drone, I take 26 photos, all from the same location/height. Rotating the drone to overlap the images. I have a program that will stitch the images together. The key is a clear sky, clouds make a considerable difference, yesterday the sun was too low, so it was harsh light. I look forward to doing more—a matter of finding the right subject.
