Washington on Red
October 12, 2014
A very full day, we had to navigate a marathon, it was one of of those “You cant get there from here” things, but I worked down here long enough that I made it work. Then the Air & Space, back to Newseum, Natural History (where the people are a better exhibits than the, well, exhibits), A Sculpture Garden, Washington Monument and Lincoln Memorial. I will need to do some special posts later this week, maybe one just on selfies… it is INSANE how smart phones have made tourist traps worse than ever. We saw 2 people fall into the Reflecting Pool within 5 minutes of each other, in the same spot. I had to rescue one of them. It was a very entertaining day. One left. Not sure what the plan is tomorrow, there has been a request to visit the Lincoln Memorial again, at sunrise, to avoid people and get better light. We will see how that idea is met in the morning.
