I joined the wet crowd in Ashland this morning to see the 2018 Boston Marathon. Pouring rain, wind blowing right at them, it was inspiring to witness. I really thought I would get these gritty, somber, wet, cold faces due to the conditions, but that was not the case. I was standing near a marathon house party blasting music for the runners, it seemed every other song was Neil Diamond’s Sweet Caroline. The runners were cheering, pumping fists, some even dancing, all were grinning as Hands Holding Hands blasted, and calling back, So Good! So Good! through the rain. I could not have been in a better spot, only thing is the damn song won’t leave my head. Congratulations to everyone who ran, walked and rode.
