I am in Iceland, landed this morning. I was supposed to be here a few days back, back a broken plane delayed me a bit. Solo trip, me in a camper, and really no plan this time. One thing I knew that had to been seen is the active volcano Fagradalsfjall. I was not expecting the hike, a bit longer and up than I thought it would be, but it was worth it. I might make a second visit before I leave. It is insane to be near, and you are very near. I was a football field away from a volcano. It erupts every 10-15 minutes or so, and the lava is everywhere, with no sign of stopping. It is so great to be back.
