Puffin! This is my third trip to Iceland, and that right there above is the first Puffin I have ever seen. These days are not really planned, and it is a nice change. If you know me, I am very organized, I like plans and lists, not overboard but an idea. On this trip, I am letting the day, mood, wind, and today rain decide this trip for me. South was the goal today, tons of stops, many small villages, waterfalls, then a “hey, that is the road to the ferry. Wonder if it’s raining on that island”. I purchased a ticket to take the ferry to Vestmannaeyjar, one of the small islands off the south coast of Iceland. The ticket was for me only with enough time for a two-hour tour of the island. Then I changed it to me and my van – I will get more done that way. Then I got here, fell in love instantly with the place, and changed from 2 hours to staying overnight. More exploring before I depart back to the mainland at noon. No matter what else I find here, it was a complete success, and I got my Puffin. They are so small.

Great photos. It’s nice to see Mother Nature up close.
