George is 2

George the red footed tortoise, joined our family 2 years ago this weekend. He was a surprise for my son on his 10th Birthday. That puts George around 2 yrs 3 months old. He has doubled in size since then. I know I have written about how he does not come out of his shell when people are around very often. He likes his food, but even when we feed him he ducks and covers until we leave the room. This morning he was walking around the tank, I went into the room and he stayed alert and curious. I figured I would grab him and out him in the floor and see if I could get some shots. He hid for a few minutes then it was the George show. Walking around, posing, it even appeared he was smiling at some points. First good shots I have of him over the last year. He really is a character. I post all the shots below, but Danny insisted this one be the dailypic.
