Guest photographer tonight, the wife is back and she enjoyed her trip. Here are a few of her shots – check out a couple more after the blog, I let her pick which one is the dailypic. I really like the one with the lights and the store. She picked this one because of the silhouettes on the pier. I even gave her a watermark.

Seven Days Without a Wife: Day 5
10:02pm – There really was not much to report today, it’s Sunday. We were planning on going to the Museum of Science today, but the kids wanted to wait for Mommy (apparently going with just Daddy is not good enough)… besides there was another snow storm, third time I have had to shovel since Barbie left. I keep cleaning her car, yet no one is here to drive it. Took care of the snow, cleaned the whole house, kids even helped, got every dirty dish done, watched the Funniest Home Videos, a family ritual on Sunday night. All was ok until late this afternoon.
Before Barbie left, she really only had 2 items, things… actually rules and I think she was serious about them.
Rule #1: Do not let her cat Billie Jean, die. Like I have any control over when it’s “time” for the cat to go. Stupid cat doesn’t like me. She looks at me weird and makes strange noises like an old man who smoked too much. {NOTE from 2/23/13 – this cat has since passed away, coincidence, she passed away while we were on vacation and my mother in law was staying with the kids, i guess we forgot to tell her the rule}
Rule #2: Do not ruin any of the new pans.
So, without really incriminating myself here, uhm… I might have broken one of the rules. Now, I am not afraid of her, big deal, I mean the rules were unreasonable anyway. You would think the rules would be something important like… #1 take care of the kids, and #2 do the dishes, which I would have done sooner if she had told me about the no dishwasher thing… I really think those rules are better. I followed those rules… eventually. Cat and pans… stupid.
Status: Depends which rules you are going to judge me on. The reasonable Kids and Dishes rules… all is good, could not be better. Her unreasonable rules about the Cat and Pans… doesn’t matter… those rules are stupid.
