A Winter’s Day
February 24, 2013

Taking a break from the 7 Days without a wife, I will post the last two tomorrow. Today I have snow, as we have for the last 3 weekends. This is the storm that never really came. It seems like it has snowed for 24 hours, yet there is not much to show for it.  I threw my Lensbaby Composer on my camera and I went for a walk in hopes to get falling snow shots. The Composer is a really cool tilt shift that I can insert different optics on to get different feels, today I used the single glass optic that has an antique style to it.

So, while I was walking around the park I ran into another photographer, turns out he was out in the storm looking for shots for the Milford Daily News. We got talking about cameras, places to shoot, the photo industry and how the storm was kind of a let down.  He asked if he could take photos of me, taking photos – seems like this might have caused a wormhole to open up over Choate Park, but I went along with it. They even might get used in the paper tomorrow, you know it is a slow news day when I end up in the paper.

Here are some extra shots from today’s walk and even one with the news photog playing the part of my paparazzi.

f/11, 1/640, 1600 iso, 16mm Lensbaby Composer, Single Glass Optic, Nikon D700
