The Monkey Suspects

I get special requests from time to time, a friend from work saw the monkeys I used to shoot awhile back and when I would not let her steal them, she bought her own. Turns out they are even smaller than the ones I had. These 10 are tiny, maybe 1/2 and inch tall. Not too easy to photograph either, not a lot of detail and they get lost in a wide shot. I tried staggering them, I added a shelf to layer them, nothing was working, then I decided to go with a lineup look. Dropped the flash below the lens to create the shadow and tried to honor a Usual Suspects movie poster I remember seeing. Just missing the numbers on the sides and lines running along the back.

Thanks so much for featuring my tiny monkeys. Glad to know you consider me a friend too! Mom was so excited that as soon as she saw the pic she knew they were mine. The pic looks great. Maybe we’ll have to photograph my tiny and small monkeys next!
