The Blue Moon
August 1, 2015
I will let you in on a secret, you got to promise not to tell anyone, I am not a fan of photos of the moon. Feels good to let someone know (that is if anyone is actually reading this). Moon photos are, just moon photos Especially full moon photos. There is nothing to put it in prospective – when shot above the horizon. I am not at a beach, or wide open space most the time so, it is limited to just shooting up, at-least in places like that you can get it coming “up” to show it against something. I get asked “Is that the super-moon?” Eh, sure? With nothing next to it, can’t you say every moon shot is the super moon. Who can tell? Now, I like this one, it is not really a moon shot. It is some leaves back-lit. Or the one below where I used a roof to cut the moon in a way we usually do not see. I needed the change up to enjoy them again. But for you fans (and there are many of you) I did the traditional, straight on, ho-hum, full circle, moon photo. It was 32x bigger last night in that shot… trust me, it was, I mean, can you prove me wrong? I didn’t think so.

But…was it blue? Why is it called a blue moon? Oh I think it has something to do with more than one full moon in a month. I don’t really know! I like the leaves in back-drop though, it makes it interesting!
