Our lives might be a bit more public than most. I post a picture each day, sometimes add words and people feel they know us. My family gets approached in stores because people recognize them. The kids get a kick out of it, it is all harmless. There is plenty I do not share, think of what you see as the greatest hits. Then something like this happens. The family pet passes on. Out of 1900 and something pictures, he has shown up many times. He was always there to be a fall back dailypic. If you want even more Parker, click here for my favorite post Almost 11 about “not his birthday”. What I never expected were the messages, comments and texts I got over the last few days. People sending thoughts to my family, sharing stories, saying prayers, telling me they feel like they knew Parker. I know anyone that has had a pet has gone through this pain. It is not unique to us, but the support meant a lot to my kids, my family.  They think their friend is a mini celebrity. He is at rest now, we did the best we could to celebrate him on the way out. Today was walking through mud, puddles, brush, anywhere he wanted to go, he was on a mission to smell everything he could. I like to think we returned him used and loved. Thank you for your thoughts. Rest in Peace Parker – you brought so much joy, March 2002-January 2015.
