Turns out on Monday, June 22nd, I did not take many photographs with the digital cameras. Instead, I leaned heavily into the film stock, which has not been processed yet. The few digital images I did make were shot with an old lens, an old camera body, and a digital back. I have been asked a few times about the specific gear I carried on this trip, and I plan to do a dedicated post breaking all of that down soon.
This locomotive is sitting just off Highway 81 in Geneva, Nebraska. I stumbled across it while filling up the tank right after I left Omaha and started heading south.
I have also included the very first shot I took that morning before hitting the road. It is a photo of a sweet cat belonging to my friend Doug, who generously let me crash at his place for the night. She posed perfectly for me right before I left town.
Day Five.
