Sunday, June 21st, was Father’s Day, and it was a heavy driving day. I woke up in Valentine, Nebraska, and headed southeast toward Omaha. I took Route 83 south, which is a gorgeous road with not much in the way of towns, mostly just a wildlife reserve and wide-open farms.
What was supposed to be a straight drive to get to the next major stop turned into a repeating pattern of seeing something interesting, executing a three-point turn, and driving back to grab a shot. This pasture line was just one of the scenes that made me backtrack. Out of the entire herd, only one of them seemed to care that I actually took the time to come back and see them.
Day Four.

Great writing as usual and awesome shot. At least one of them knew they were looking at greatness!
