the dailypic 5719 yr16 240 Heron Clan

I was given a heads-up a few weeks ago about the location of Heron nests. Just far enough off the road that they are challenging to photograph, but a blast to watch. I have stopped a few times and seen the little ones grow. Today, I hung out for a bit, tried to take some photos, but nothing worth sharing. As I packed up the camera, a Heron closer to the road got my attention as it took off from the swamp. Then I followed it to its nest. The second they landed, the little ones perked up, and it was feeding time. Tough crops to make them visible, but still an incredible scene.
