the dailypic 4254 yr12 236 Upper Nauthúsagil Waterfall

So… it drove me crazy that I did not go up to the top part of Nauthúsagil waterfall. See yesterday’s post. Thought about it as I lay awake last night. That little kid taunting me. So first stop today was the falls again, this time determined. Right in, right up the falls and the view was worth it. It is more about the amazing light than water, which I really believe has to be better in the morning (when I was there today) than it would have been if I made the trek last night. A tall waterfall, that cut through everything, buried behind a rock, with light making all the mist sparkle. Angles for photos are hard. Even with a wide lens showing all the beautiful pieces are a challenge. The one above I am squatted under and rock, just enough to catch some of the suns, some of the waterfall, and some of the stream passing by. I have a video but can not share due to sitting in a van with a weak signal, so I will share it later. If you are thinking of going to Iceland (and I know a few reading this are) I highly recommended you add this to the itinerary.
