Decades back, when I pretended I knew what I was doing in school, we used to get assignments – “photo studies.” Sometimes a subject, sometimes a word or phrase. My thesis was the phrase “what is that?” I used a microscope attached to a camera and took gross photos of things like a hairbrush and dirty sponge. Anyway, friends are redoing their bathroom. Currently, they have a series of pictures from my Cuba trip on the walls. I was asked for new photos to go with the makeover, and I thought a Rubber Duckie study would be good. I did it as I used to do those assignments. 20mins no more, don’t think, just shoot. I added some blocks from my newborn props, and here we are—A Study of Duck U.
