The Song of the Day

Last night, local musicians Jon-Paul Royer and Sara Spector, allowed me to watch them rehearse for JP’s: Song of the Day. A great series of videos he shares of songs played and produced in the “Purple Room Production Studio”. I have been watching JP post them on his page and reached out asking if I could take pictures during one of the sessions. I take the dailypic, he makes the Song of the Day, so it just seemed right. A couple days later I was invited over for a recording session with Sara. It was cool to watch/listen to them work it out a few times. I got to hear the subtle changes between takes, check out the studio and grab a few photos. We were all on a tight time line with places to go, I stayed maybe 30 minutes, they belted out a couple rehearsals while I played with the camera.
