Looking back at Romania — this is the ceiling of the Romanian Athenaeum concert hall in Bucharest. It’s an absolutely beautiful building, inside and out — so iconic, it’s even featured on the country’s 5 Lei banknote.
Ironically, I had to hand that exact bill to a guy outside to get in. I’m pretty sure he pocketed it, let me in through a side door, and it didn’t feel the least bit official. Still… worth every Lei.
