the dailypic 4841 yr14 093 Year of Clicks

A year ago, I was heading into the first full year of 100% working as Tim Rice Photo. I learned a lot in ’22, I did a lot, and my business grew a lot. I used to measure my years by ‘clicks,’ images I took. It is nothing more than a volume thing, but it is always interesting to look back and see the numbers. Looking back just 10 years, in 2012, I took 38K photos. In the month of October 2022 – the busiest month I have ever had – I took over 40K in just 4 weeks. 2022 as a whole was up from 80K in 2021 to 206,982. I am not shocked. I felt it. I was busy. The most weddings I have had in a year, add in sports photos, daycares, and just the expected growth of my core business, it was a great year, and it felt good to be tired. I plan on 2023 being even bigger. I am still plugging away at school photos and more high-volume jobs. I believe they will come with time. 2023 is technically my 30th year professionally taking photos. I shot my first wedding (as a paid assistant) in 1993 – the only paid job I had that year, but it counts. It was the year I fell in love with photography. Photography and I have changed quite a bit in 30 years. Hope I am here in another 30 to see where it keeps going, but for now, one year at a time. I look forward to clicking in 2023.
