It took me less than 65 minutes to make a round trip to Boston today. It can take that to just get there, on a good day. It was not empty but it was light. Like a 3 am on a Sunday light, except it was late afternoon, almost rush hour. I got street parking wherever I wanted to stop, even had a chance to make a U-turn to go back to something I saw. Not on a side road, a U-turn on a major artery without concern.

The saddest part was the homeless. Whatever your thoughts are, it is a fact, homelessness exists. If they sit on a step or corner for a whole day, odds are we are not all ignoring them, the change must add up over the day. There is a business to it, not the right word, but a formula, a goal, a hope? 4000 people pass one homeless person with a sign, say 5% give an average of 50 cents, that’s $100. What happens when 4000 becomes 400? No one in the city to give change. No store open to even get change from? The trickle effect of this virus reaches everywhere.

Anyway, check out these eerie shots from. around Boston, keep in mind this is about 4:30pm on a Monday.
