Not the dramatic look I was going for with star trails. I had tried a new method and to be honest, screwed it all up the night before. The night that had NO clouds and was perfect with TONS of visible stars. I tried again last night, this time it worked, but fewer stars and overcast toned it all down. I will give it another try if the sky clears before we leave. This series was taken over 2 hours in the dark with some ambient light sneaking in… also sneaking in was a visitor. A deer showed up in the photos about 3/4’s the way through. Since this is many photos stacked over each other, with each one being 30 seconds long, it is tough to catch anything that moves, but this deer posed for a reasonable amount of time dead center. Only moving its head blurring their face for privacy. Too bad it would have been a perfect shot all by itself.
