Last Day of School

Due to some traveling today, I am posting early… the subject was easy since this day has been circled on the calendar for a few reasons. Everyone one posts that first day of school shot, the kids with their new shirt, hair cuts and bright smiles already to board the bus with nothing but the future in front of them. But there are not nearly as many last day of school photos, wrinkled shirts, shorts, lost lunch boxes and I do not care smirks. Here is our last day of school photo. Back on August 29th, 2012 I post a first day shot as thedailypic, it was weeks before the blog started (took me far too long to figure that out this morning while looking for the link) so I have added it below. I can not put my finger on why it looks so different. Dan does have a different haircut and did grow a few inches this year. They both have the same glasses, same spot in the driveway… but there is a subtle change.
For the record, yes… I did plan thedailypic 301 days in advance. “See kids you look miserable in this photo and 9 months from now I will shoot the same shot but with smiles… brilliant!” I might need to get a life.
