Taking a day off, so an early dailypic today. Today’s adventure will show up tomorrow.
I thought I’d share another project I’m about to start: the one-horse open sleigh. I picked this up last week. She needs work, and I am no sleigh expert, but I’ll make the best of it. I’ve got ten months to get her into photo condition for next year’s holiday sessions.
I had mentioned to a neighbor that I was envious of theirs and thought it would be perfect for photos. A few days later, she sent me a listing she had seen online. That led not only to getting this sleigh, but to meeting the previous owner—who was great to talk with.
The world is a cool thing when random chances introduce us to new opportunities. I hope I can do this project justice. If not, I’ll pass it on to the next person with vision, just as the last owner did for me.

It’s a beauty Tim!! I know you will bring it back to its glory and you already have a couple of volunteers to help and I am sure more people will step forward to help.
Can’t wait to see the restoration!!
Can’t wait to see the end result.
Wayne likes to work with wood. Ask him for assistance.
Call Uncle Al, he can help you do this and it will come out excellent!!
Cant wait to see it. We can even put some coal on it next winter, pretending to deliver it to the
bad little girls and boys!!
The curving lines of these sleighs are beautifully wrought.
Good luck!
