the dailypic 5655 yr16 176 Crepuscular

A short walk from my house this morning led me to the swampland at the corner. From my driveway, I could tell there was a scene worth capturing—fog settled low, and the light was cutting through just right. As I walked, I ran into neighbors, had a few conversations, and one used “crepuscular” to describe the light. No clue what it meant at the time, but it sounded cool. A quick search later, I agreed with the definition—though it led me down a rabbit hole of words like penumbra, pareidolia, and photic – all of which would work here too. Way too much learning that early in the morning.

  1. Linda Reynolds says:

First time I remember that word was reading Edgar Allen Poe, which even fits your pic well.
