I am proud to be a sponsor of the Medway Bags Hunger campaign. Medway food pantries are an important part of our community and always need assistance. Last weekend a team of volunteers drooped off empty bags for residents to fill and place at the end of their driveway. Another great organization, the Medway Lions, will be picking them up this Saturday starting at 9 am. I have seen this event in action. Photos from last year are below. It is a huge job tackled by eager volunteers, picking up, dropping off, sorting, organizing, and distributing the food. As residents of Medway, we have the easiest part, fill a bag and place it at the end of the driveway. Every bag makes a difference. I will add all the details posted on their Facebook page below. If you are not in Medway, I am sure your area has a food pantry. I encourage everyone to seek them out and see what you can assist with.

Our annual event is happening this year on Saturday, May 13th. Our goal is to fill the Medway Food Pantry in anticipation of the leaner giving summer months! A brown paper bag will be dropped off in your driveway the weekend prior, May 6th and 7th! Simply fill the brown bag with non-perishables, personal hygiene products, gift cards, etc. and place that bag at the end of your driveway Saturday morning, May 13th and we will be by to pick it up! This event has FAR exceeded our expectations and we are hopeful for another amazing response from the community! Let’s do this together Medway – Hunger Does Not Take a Vacation!
