Have you ever seen those older couples who go to the doctor together? I would be lying if I had not rolled my eyes at them over the years, especially at the eye doctor’s office. Book your own appointments, and pick out your own lenses. Seems easy enough. Not a tag-team sport. Today my wife and I became that couple, a lunch date to the eye specialist. I asked the people that work there if they noticed the couple’s office visit thing. After a chat about it, they told us we were a “normal couple.” Normal, we had to take a lunch date to the eye doctor to get a professional diagnosis that we are normal – should have gotten it in writing.
