Today we have a special treat… guest photographer and guest blogger, Danny Rice.  He created the shot and wrote about it. And for a first timer I was given a list of demands, the biggest one was – he demanded his own watermark.  So you are all spared some long, wordy post by me… instead you get a long, wordy post from my 11 year old son. Here you go…

I came up with the idea on Saturday night, after we went out to eat. My dad and I went to toys r us and he bought me two Lego packets, I got a Cyclops and a plumber, dad got a mermaid, a waiter, and a knight (yeah, he still buys toys for himself, he pretends it’s for his pictures). I traded the plumber for my dad’s knight and thought what if Legoboy was a knight being chased by the Cyclops. So, I made a cave with a bone and a piece of meat from my dad’s Lego butcher (for his pictures, sure). I asked if I could use my dad’s camera, after he stood there and glared at me (and an additional “really”)he said fine. Dad taught me how to take the picture and we used natural light. My dad also taught me about the lens opening and how the bigger the opening the less light we needed, but the smaller the opening the more light we needed. We used a medium opening because the camera was in front of a window on a table so it wouldn’t shake. But I did at first have a different title “Slay, Legoboy, Slay” because of the monster/knight thing, but Legoboy always runs from a fight so he was like those people in movies that yell “MONSTER, MONSTER!” That’s how “Monster, Legoboy, Monster” came to be a reality.

Danny ratted you out – you still like to play with toys. The photography thing is a cover. I would bust your chops royally, if it weren’t for the fact that I recently purchased a Beyblade.

Danny, EXCELLENT job on the Blog and Picture. I have been anxiously waiting for the “guest blogger” since it was announced and you did a fine job. You know how to use the camera, you have legos, you have your own watermark…Beware Tim Beware!!!
