RIP Featherstone

Let’s take a moment and lower our lawn flamingos to half mast, in honor of the passing of Don Featherstone, the creator of the plastic pink flamingo – I love how the reference page says “plastic” in-case some would read it and think he created the actual pink flamingo. Featherstone passed away earlier this week at the age of 79, originally from Fitchburg, MA, he won a IG Nobel Prize in 1996 for art and wore matching outfits with his wife Nancy each day they were married. I have to imagine he hopes the afterlife is tacky, and I mean that respectfully.
