A trip north to loom at some lighthouses. Started in New Castle Island, NH and made it to Portland, ME. Only saw a handful, it was more about getting away for a day. Might had seen more but we took the dogs with us, and that is a huge ordeal, we are stopped every 10 feet with requests to pat, talk with, take photos of the dogs. “the tall one is female, Josie, 93lbs, 2.5 years old, the ‘little’ one isArgus, he is a puppy, 6.5 months old… no really, yes a puppy. Yes, we are aware he will only get bigger, no it is not her puppy, they are half-siblings, yes they do eat a lot, yes their crap is enormous, yup… they shed, really you knew someone who had one and it died, they do get along, it does look like they are smiling…” move 10 feet, repeat… not complaining at all, they bring joy to everyone who sees them. I let my wife do most the talking, and I send the drone off to get photos, like the one above. That is Ram Island Ledge Light is a lighthouse in Casco Bay, Maine, and favorite of mine that you can see from Portland Head Light in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. We also saw Whale-back Light, Portsmouth Harbor Lighthouse, Bug Light, Nubble Light but it was under construction and a few other stops on some beaches.
