Happy 17th Birthday to Dan. The world is in front of him and it is full of music. Meanwhile Josie was not interested in posing for a photo.
I spent the morning photographing a family at Parsons Daffodil Field in Darmouth, MA. A beautiful spot, buried in the woods, with Daffodils as far as you can see.
The places my camera take me.. all in one day. First I was at Free Comic Book Day at Rubber Chicken Comics, celebrating comics, movies, superheroes, and even photographed a wedding between Captain America and The Scarlet Witch, congrats Jess and Jason. Perfect day for it all. Then a change of outfits, bow ties and hats, off to a Kentucky Derby Gala for a great local charity in Medway, the Medway Foundation for Education at Thayer House. Two great events, plenty of photos at both.
I took some photos and spent time with Paul Galante of Medway, who runs the Food Pantry at Mahan Circle. I learned a ton about how the food is distributed and obtained. Paul is dedicated and passionate about it all. The community is lucky not only to have one but two Food Pantries, the second is the Medway Village Food Pantry. Each benefit from hard work of volunteers and donations from many local businesses. The Pantry at Mahan Circle is stocked, clean and inviting, but is always looking for more items and support. Check out the details below and please reach out to Paul if you can help or have any questions.

Today I documented an Active Shooter Training session held at Medway High School by Synergy. Synergy is a public safety experts team comprised of local officers including some from Medway. Medway Police and Fire were joined by other local town law enforcement for a full day of training and simulations. It was intense and amazing, working through scenarios throughout the school. The day ended with a full exercise from entering the building with an active shooter, to neutralizing the threat and removing students from the building. I have had experience with this type of training before but never at a school level. A school system I have been involved with and building my children graduated from or are still attending. To watch these dedicated women and men, many whom I know personally, take on this serious issue in hopes to never have to use the knowledge, makes me proud to be part of this community. Thank you to all involved at today’s event.
I joined the wet crowd in Ashland this morning to see the 2018 Boston Marathon. Pouring rain, wind blowing right at them, it was inspiring to witness. I really thought I would get these gritty, somber, wet, cold faces due to the conditions, but that was not the case. I was standing near a marathon house party blasting music for the runners, it seemed every other song was Neil Diamond’s Sweet Caroline. The runners were cheering, pumping fists, some even dancing, all were grinning as Hands Holding Hands blasted, and calling back, So Good! So Good! through the rain. I could not have been in a better spot, only thing is the damn song won’t leave my head. Congratulations to everyone who ran, walked and rode.
Duke came by the studio tonight, he was camera shy at first, but warmed up when the when the squeaky toys (new born props) came out. What a face.
I spent part of my evening with these three little girls, the youngest just 2 weeks old. We have smiles, crying, a bit of squirming… and some cute photos.
The Milton showed up today, took a few guys – pros, I highly recommend Bushell Piano Movers, to get it in the house. The second Dan got home he sat and played, and played and played…
A dirty birdbath.
