In June 2019, Sarah came to my studio, got a portrait, laughed, and danced, all to celebrate her 100th Birthday. Then, in June 2024, I was thumbing through a local paper, and there was Sarah in an article about her 105th Birthday. I was very excited to see her smile five years later.
A week went by, and Sarah and her family stopped by Celebrate Medway, where I was holding a photo exhibit. I offered her and her family a new portrait to continue her milestone celebration. Today was that day. Born June 7th, 1919, this is Sarah at 105 years, three months, and 11 days old. she got a new portrait, we laughed, she remembered the last session, less dancing this time, but nothing is stopping her.
Until I take her picture again, I am willing to bet she might be the most senior portrait I may ever take. It is my honor, and I look forward to her next session.
