Bill and I talked a while back about photographing his father’s airbrushing tool. Bill’s Dad passed away and he wanted to get a photo of the tool to hang in his office. Above is the final result I shot at my studio. The tool is the size of a pen, the detail and marks from use give it character. You can tell it was well used, yet is in great condition. I was honored to photograph this for Bill and his family. He chose to print it on a 24×36 piece of aluminum, as he says in his text below, a photo does not do it justice – it looks so sharp on metal. I was excited to deliver the final product today. Thank you for trusting me with this special piece.

From Bill: My Dad passed away a couple of years back and I’d wanted something that would remind me of him in my office. Before he retired he was a commercial/airbrush artist working out of Providence, RI. I remember how he’d take me into his office as a kid and how hard he worked. Tim was able to capture the equipment he used every day of his career in a truly beautiful way and have it printed on aluminum. The picture does not do it justice, it makes you pause when you see it in person. It is a piece of art my family will cherish forever. Thank you Tim, it really means a lot.
