It has been years since I took in a last-minute show in Boston for music. I used to do it a few times a month, even more than once a week, when I was young. Dan is home from college for the summer, so I grabbed some tickets to a favorite of ours, Frank Turner, who played last night at the MGM Music Hall next to Fenway – a great place to see live music. Frank did not disappoint. Loud, fast, punk. Been a long time since every song rattled my ribs. It was nice to be there with Dan and pretend I was 20-something again. I did not even get jealous of those in the pit taking photos. I sat in the middle seat of the last row and enjoyed every note. And for those who might read this that worked with me in my corporate life, if you walked into my space and I had headphones on and looked like I might have been in a decent mood, there was a good chance this is who I was listening to. Frank Turner assisted in making corporate life tolerable at times. Just remember, ‘We can get better because we’re not dead yet. ‘ – FT
