A trip to Rockport.

Halibut Point State Park in Rockport on Cape Ann is a family favorite, we try to go once a year. This was the first time with the drone. I try to stay stealth with the drone, there is a lot of negativity that comes with a drone. I put the blame in three camps, bad pilots, over sensitive people and the media. Each make me think twice about where and when I use it. Even in the parking lot, I debated grabbing the case, there would be nowhere to hide on the shore, I would be in the open and approachable. Look at my results though, how could I not. I love these photos, I love this angle, where else will I get the opportunity to take a photo of the ocean hitting the shore, from the side of the Atlantic? As for those others I over-think about, it was all positive, a few stopped to chat about the drone. Others watched from a distance with a smile. There was one that mumbled to his friends he wish he could shoot it down, but one critic is not bad. I am a fan of these photos, I do not say that enough about my own work, too many times I am off to the next ones… these I will enjoy for a bit. I tossed in a a quick video of the shore and some water spray shots taken from the rocks. Now to decide which to print for the gallery. Hope you enjoy, please share if you do.

Escaped for a day with my wife, headed to Halibut State Park in Rockport, MA. Didn’t take many photos, just enjoyed the weather, views and fried lobster for lunch at Essex Seafood.

Took the family to Rockport and Gloucester, MA for the day. The sun was out, the water was choppy and it was at least 30 degree in the wind. I saw a kid wearing a snow suit on the beach.
