the dailypic 5600 yr16 121 Diamond in The Rough

Today was the drive back west, getting towards Reykjavik and heading home tomorrow. Stops along the route included a second stop at Diamond Beach. A black volcanic sand beach where icebergs that break off the Breiðamerkurjökull glacier wash up, decorating the beach with “diamonds” baking in the sun. It looks like another world, which makes sense that I found an astronaut while I was there. Which then led to yet another quick photo shoot with strangers.
