I had some time to have a fun session to play with light. The goal was a more classic look, Rembrandt lighting, that gives the feel of a painting. A headshot taken with a specific light set up, two simple lights creating a delicate triangle of light on the right side – where the name Rembrandt comes from. My friend Annie was patient enough to sit for me for a bit (and kind enough to put up with my dress choice) while I moved the lights around and built my recipe. Then, I went into Lightroom and Photoshop to edit more than I usually do. A series of specific, yet minor edits stacked on each other that accumulate to this timeless look.
