Last night was Gabby’s senior Portrait session. A special session for me, Gabby, was my first business card. See below.

Gabby’s Mom and I worked together in my Staples Days. Though photography has been part of my life since I was a teenager, I gave up on it for a bit. After I sold my One Hour Photo lab, then lost a job at Kodak, I had walked away from my cameras for a few years, only shooting the occasional wedding or headshot. In a corporate job that had nothing to do with photography very few knew about my ‘talents’. Now and then I would bring photos of my kids to my cubical and people would ask who took them. Well I did. Dawn (Gabby’s Mom) was a teammate, friend and a mother. That led to me photographing her girls starting when they were really young. Dawn would bring the photos in to work, others would ask who did them and she would talk me up. The passion and the business of photography started to grow again, picking up many clients from Staples. With any new business I would need business cards, a photo of Gabby around two or three became the first business card I ever had for timricephoto.

Here we are many years later. I am long gone from Staples (we both are) I am out of corporate completely and timricephoto is what it is. I was honored to be taking photos of her and her sister Ally again. Westport made for a beautiful backdrop. I even got her to hold the same camera she posed with 15ish years ago for one last shot. I love and appreciate the connections my cameras have made for me over the years. And more so the continued support of so many great people.
