Today my wife Barbie and I have been married for twenty-five years. October 18th, 1997, in a field behind our apartment in Medway, we got married. I have written about it here before, many years back. We are not huge celebrators of anniversaries, but I figured this one deserved some attention. So I had her bouquet remade perfectly in a modern style from photos by Luna’s Flowers of Medway. And speaking of wedding photos, at sunset, I drove her to where we got married, where our wedding photographer and good friend Ben Bennett (also of Medway – there is a theme) met us to take anniversary photos in the same spots as our wedding photos. Then off to Restaurant 45 for a great dinner with friends and our kids, with a mini wedding cake from The Muffin House and the old toppers added for historical purposes.

Thank you to all the well-wishers, the ones who helped keep the surprise, and to Ben Bennett for taking one more round of photos for us, and is today’s guest photographer for the dailypic for the second time!

It was a perfect evening to celebrate the best twenty-five years I have had so far. Everything around us has changed while we remained us – to twenty-five more.
