This photo is a couple of years old from the We Are Medway Project, though it is relevant today. This is retired Cheif David Lambirth of the Medway Police Department. Today he was laid to rest after a service at St Joe’s in Medway. He passed away July 25th at 83. Medway’s Chief for 22 years, retiring in 2002, he left a great mark on the department and the town. His family asked me to take a few photos today of the procession, police escorts, and retired officers carried his casket while active ones lined the walkways and streets as he passed by. It was attended by not only our local police and fire departments, but State Troopers and US Marines which Chief was one. You can read his full obituary here. Rest in Peace Chief, thank you for your service.

An awesome tribute to a wonderful man. Medway is better because of his contributions.
Bless his family at this time.
