So I was sitting for the first time all weekend. Had a great weekend working in the yard, some sessions. I had a nice photo to post as the daily, though nothing as exciting as the last few days. They all can’t be ‘events’ like the tree or owls. Then my phone buzzes, an alert. One of the last things done before I came in was setting up a Netvue security camera (nice product) near the new Owl nest. Mom Owl came home and gave me my first notification. She checked out the camera, seemed to be OK with it then hopped in the box to stand guard. So I scrap the dailypic I had planned, an owl update it will be.
Added this new shot, going to add some video, as I write this I get another notification, then another. Dad came home with food – one less mouse trying to get in my house. Like Door Dash for Owls. It seems the family is doing fine and all settled in the new house. I have secured the area around them so my dogs won’t bother them. I snuck a couple photos in the last day, using that selfie stick I never thought I would need. Makes a great way to not get near the nest. They have their own space and privacy – except for that camera in the tree, but I think Mom was ready for her close-up.
