I love my old house, but as anyone with an old house will tell you they come with issues. We inherited a sloppy roof when we bought it 18 years ago. Far too many layers, some rotted boards, in some spots the original shingles – original, buried under newer shingles. The house was built in 1880ish, so all this leads to hard work to update. We went with a Medway company Prestige Roofing. They were great, handled every surprise that they found. It now not only looks great, but I know what is underneath is done right. I highly recommend Lenny and his team at Prestige.
Now I have a bunch of the old, I assume original scraps of wood. I saved them to make frames, boxes, and other items out of. Seemed a waste to just toss in the dumpster. tonight I made a cover for some pipes coming out of the house.
