Last year Sarah reached out to me to ask for a post about ACC Awareness Day, this year I thought it is better to meet with her son Nathan in person instead of a photo of just a bridge.
From Sarah:
July 2nd is ACC Awareness Day. My son Nathan copes with an extremely rare brain abnormality called Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum (ACC), where the center part of the brain, the BRIDGE between the 2 hemispheres, never develops in utero. The national organization chose July 2nd a day of awareness for the 1 in 3,000 people who live with the challenges of this condition, as it is the halfway mark of the year.
Thanks for considering it – and for the daily smile/inspiration/reflection in the daily pic.
