Woke at 5 am to make it to the Quechee Green Park by school bus to catch the morning balloon ascend at the 40th Quechee Balloon Festival in Vermont. An incredible sight. We arrived yesterday in hopes to see the balloons take off and glow last night, but the weather did not cooperate. It made up for it this morning, as the sun rose and some clouds rolled in, 20+ balloons took off all around us. It was hard to take photos; you just wanted to watch, very surreal, the quiet crowd only disturbed by the flames as they rose from feet away from you.

Wow!!! What a spectacular event. I would never have thought there were so many Balloon enthusiasts!!! Every balloon is so beautiful. Was a beautiful day for it too! Fantastic photos Tim!

Awesome pictures. We were at Quechee Gorge in May. We’ll have to plan our next visit for this weekend.
