When I started my We Are Medway project last month I mentioned a book by Francis Donovan, called The New Grant: A History of Medway. Today, an old friend visiting home for a few days stopped by the studio. He had found a 1982, second printing copy of The New Grant, the very edition I used to read at school and passed it off to me. I will add it to my Medway Book collection. I have some Bicentennial papers, an Epitaph book, a pamphlet of sorts on Medway published by Edison Electric. My goal for the project was to maybe have a book of the photos next to Donovan’s book, with one in my possession I guess that will be even easier.
