The 17th year of a project that was supposed to be 31 days long. A gift of renewal each year on my birthday — my companion as I move through time. Every day documented.
This next year will bring some highlights and additions. Before the busy season, I started organizing the archives, with the goal of having a searchable database by early next year. From there, I can branch into many things: a book is the ultimate goal as I approach year 20.
I also want to incorporate more film. My Hasselblad 500c just came back from a tune-up, and it will see a lot more use. I’ll be mixing in film shots — not necessarily daily, but woven into the story. And then there’s the Middle Ground Project, which will be part of the dailypic too.
Seventeen years in, and still on the path forward.
