Free Comic Book Day 2014
May 3, 2014
This is the crew I spent my day with, well, them and 100’s of smiling (and some crying) kids. Free Comic Book Day gets bigger every year. It might sound like a made up thing, but far from it. Held the first Friday of every May, this year over 60 free comic books in all genres were handed out. I have helped out at Rubber Chicken Comics for years on FCBD. This year we had a record amount of cos-players ready to entertain the kids. Spider-Man was the big hit, not far behind was the custom built and wearable 6 and a half-foot tall Lego Batman. We had Chewbacca, Stormtroopers, 3 Poison Ivys, Catwoman, Thor, Bullseye, Green Power Ranger (another huge hit) and more. I took photos and printed them on the spot all for charity, we raised a couple hundred dollars for the Jimmy Fund. It was a great day. Hope to see you next year, May 2nd, mark your calendars.
