I have photographed many eclipses; I still have not made it to a total. A few years back,, I never made the drive north (and I should have). This year I had planned on going to my home away from home in Iceland; I came close to booking it many times, but I’ve been there enough to know clouds are inevitable. Turns out I was right; I am sure it was still awesome, but I stayed home. Actually, I was with my Mom, set the camera up on her deck, and got her to use my glasses to view. She loved it, so in the end, 20% with my Mom was better than 100% behind clouds in Iceland. If you are interested, my list is below of all my chances before my 100th birthday. I mean, I don’t want to be dragging the tripod around when I am triple digits; that would be crazy.
