As mentioned in other posts, I am at my town’s park almost daily. Sometimes I run home between sessions; the park is always crowded so I never really park in the same place twice. This time, I happened to pull in and saw this incredible sight. A vast gaping hole in an evergreen tree, with the open, filled with this spider’s web. I did not see a spider when I parked and went off, and I knew I would return to it after the senior session I was going to. When I came back, the spider was home. Armed with the Hasselblad and a studio light on a stand, I gave the spider and the web their own session. I am sure people were wondering why I was lighting this tree up with photographic lights; it was not the first time I had looked strange from a distance. Here are the results.
